Preston has been named as the best city in north-west England to live. The Lake District is less than one hour away by train and London is only two hours away.

Preston has an abundance of green spaces, including Moor Fold Park and Avenham Park through which the River Ribble runs. The Ribble Valley is north east of Preston and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. 

The Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library is a Grade I listed building in the centre of the city. The city is full of restaurants, bars and cafes, and is home to the beautifully restored covered market.

Preston is a thriving, culturally rich and diverse, University city. Manchester is less than one hour away by train, and Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached in just over two hours.
